Apple has seeded iOS 4.2 beta 3 to developers alongside iTunes 10.1 beta 2 to developers. This seed comes just two weeks after the last, and, as if there was any surprise, shows that Apple is continuing steady work on the update to make their previously stated November release timeframe.
Only a few changes have been found in the release so far. They include some minor graphics changes, New tones for SMS, and the ability to enable/disable alert sounds for things like Calendar alerts, Lock sounds, keyboard clicks, New mail, and sent mail.
Surprisingly, it also appears that AirPlay has been dropped in this build. However, I would wager that we’ll see it return in time for the November release. It is a major feature that Apple is touting after all.
