Wi-Fi Sync 2.0 beta coming in December

Patrick covered Wi-Fi Sync ($9.99 on Cydia) for jailbroken iPhones a little while ago and his post was the one that got me on the wi-bandwagon. A wire-free syncing experience where all the data transfers over my home network? Yes, please!

Unfortunately, version 1.1 of Wi-Fi Sync (that’d be the current one) still has a few issues. It doesn’t always initiate a sync when you load it up, and it actually seems to block the installation of new iOS firmware until you uninstall the desktop client. I’m hoping that version 2.0 irons out these bugs, but I’m also looking forward to some of the tasty new features, especially over-the-air sync.

If you’re interested in giving the December beta a shot, you can sign up right now on http://wifisyncapp.com/.
