TheStreet is reporting that Wal-Mart executives announced yesterday during their annual meeting that the retail giant will carry the iPhone and iPad in it’s Sam’s Club chain of stores.
A timeframe was not provided for when the devices would hit the warehouse club. Sam’s Club said it is attempting to increase the quality in its consumer electronic categories, as well as its fresh food and health and wellness divisions.
This news comes right after Wal-Mart officially announced that they will carry the iPad starting this Friday. That said, pricing has yet to be announced.
Also worth noting is that Target will be working with Radio Shack to deploy mobile phone centers in their stores. With these new centers in place, Target plans to also offer the iPhone.
