1Tap Alarm is so simple and easy to use that you might wonder if you’re missing out on a feature or two. There are less than a handful of manipulable objects on-screen at any one time: a dial for the timer, a reset button, and the settings button for when the alarm inevitably rings.
What 1Tap Alarm really feels like is the most hi-tech egg timer you’ve ever used. You can set timers that last minutes or for hours, and although it isn’t terribly obvious, you can pause the timer by double-tapping on the countdown at the top of the screen, or by rotating to landscape orientation and using the handy pause button there.
The app also makes good use of local notifications. The iPhone will only vibrate once if set to silent mode, but it can ring much like the default iPhone timer (with 6 different sounds) otherwise.
The only negative here is that 1Tap Alarm might not always live up to its name. The timer is set in 30-second increments and it it can a little be a little difficult at times to be precise. However, even if this ends up being a two or three tap alarm, it’s definitely still worth the free download (it only works on iOS 4.1+, though).
