iLife Ship Dates Slip on German Amazon Site

9to5Mac points out that iLife ’09 has an availability date of October 20th on Amazon’s German site. This date corresponds with Apple’s scheduled “Back to the Mac” media event.

Granted Amazon has had flub ups in the past regarding forthcoming iLife releases including a few premature posting as early as this past September. However, with the media event only a day away, it seems likely that Amazon is acting on inside information.

Also worth noting are finds from MacRumors that nearly all Apple notebooks and desktop shipments have a “2 business day” shipping timeframe, which may hint that Apple is withholding orders until the new iLife suite has been released. Additionally, Apple’s UK online store reports a 1-2 week shipping window for new iLife ’09 orders.

So, expect a new version of iLife, and also likely a new version of iWork at Wednesday’s media event. We’ll keep you posted.
