So, without a doubt you’ve like all heard about the “One More Thing” that Steve pulled out at the end of the show today. And let’s be honest, Apple had to pull something out of their butts because this was one of the most underwhelming presentations they’ve had in quite some time. I mean, you know you’re hurting for relevant wow factor when you can spend well over 45 minutes just talking about iLife. Of course that 45 minutes was well spent because I’ll be purchasing iLife shortly, but still if you were paying attention to twitter there was a whole lot of let’s freaking get on with it, we’re all here for LION!
But, all that long winded iLife garbage is not what the advertising push from today looks like. Heck, there’s no mention of Lion or iLife. There’s nothing but simplicity and brevity on the above email ad. No specs, no fancy, just a simple “Here it is, now go and get it”. The only way they could have been simpler was to put Johnny Ive in the picture with a quote saying “I made something. Go buy it.” Well, like a good little Apple fan I tried. Called all my local stores and the answer is we don’t know when we’re getting them, but we’re being told its a few days away.
So, I did what anyone else in a similar situation would do… I went to store.apple.com and clunked down my fancy black iTunes credit card. 3 minutes and about $1100 later I got this:
So, iSource readers now is the time. I’ve got a couple days before the smexiest new iDevice hits my doorstep and I want to hear about what you want to know. I’ve got the 11″ Macbook Air 64GB model coming, so if you want details, pictures, whatever just let me know. Just don’t ask me if it blends or flushes.
