@Musclenerd, the great be-pineappled iPhone hacker, released a quick teaser of one of the latest improvements to Cydia (shown above). According to Musclenerd’s tweet, both @chpwn and @saurik have been burning the midnight oil to get Cydia ready for iOS 4.2 (although it won’t necessarily be released alongside Apple’s newest firmware).
However, it looks like we shouldn’t get too excited about the possibility of a new Cydia UI just yet. According to chpwn, most of the work being done right now is back-end stuff, and the screenshot above is, apparently, the only new UI element.
That’s fine by me, as long as the back end can be improved enough to work as quickly (or nearly as quickly) as Rock used to. 🙂
