Ok, so I’m a little late on this one, but Best Buy is now running an ad touting the availability of the iPad 2 in many of their retail locations. This promotion appears to be why Best Buy had been reportedly hoarding up stock of the device- so they can release it all at once with guaranteed availability (at least for awhile.)
Next up, Toys R’ Us, a US toy retailer, is also now selling the iPad 2. This had been previously rumored, and I personally, kind of dismissed it. Seeing as how Toys R’ US isn’t known for selling Apple products, nor did they previously sell the original iPad.
Anyway, check with your local stores for availability. I have a hunch they’ve already sold out.
