
9to5Mac is reporting that iMac supplies are currently “constrained”, and obtaining restocking orders is difficult. Of course, Apple traditionally allows for supplies to tighten prior to introducing a refresh.
The last iMac update was in July of 2010, which means the line is due for an update. In fact, a recent report claimed that Apple was planning to release new iMac either by the end of this month or the beginning of next.
