Valve Software’s Portal ($10) was a fantastic non-violent first-person shooter with some mind-bending puzzles and a wicked sense of humour. It debuted on the PC-only in 2007 and took three years to make its way to the Mac.
The sequel to Portal, the aptly named Portal 2 (I see what they did there!), was released on Valve’s Steam Store yesterday for $49.99, and this time around, Mac gamers are included right from the start. So if you’re interested in a triple-A gaming title with support for the Mac on Day One, load up your Mac Steam client and check out Portal Deux.
The gameplay can be tough to describe, so I highly recommend you check out some of the videos on the Steam product pages.
