Apple has had to temporarily close it’s Greenwich, Connecticut store after a cleaning crew accidentally triggered the building’s fire sprinkler system Tuesday night. The store will reportedly remain closed until further notice.
A pink sign from the state is tapped to the glass door from the inside reading that the site is in violation of Section 115 of Connecticut State Building Code. If you’re like me, and aren’t familiar with Connecticut Building Code (what’s wrong with us?), Code 115 refers to “unsafe equipment” and how said equipment cannot be operated after it had been declared unsafe by state officials.
Apple’s Greenwich Avenue Store page is now reporting that the store is “closed temporarily.” There is no word on when the store might reopen.
