The gravy train can’t roll forever. However, in the case of Apple, it may not matter for a long, long time. Unlike most major corporations, Apple doesn’t operate its business fueled by debit or hang its future on speculative investments. Instead, they have built up a massive pile of cash and liquid assets. This gives the flexibility that no one else in the electronics industry has. So, if and when things do slow down a bit, they will have be able to draw on the planet’s biggest rainy day fund to help them get back on track.
