I received an e-mail from Firemint earlier today that announced that the Real Racing 2 HD update, featuring 1080p output to your local high definition television, has gone live. You’ll need an iPad 2, a $9.99 copy of Real Racing 2 HD, an HDMI output cable (though can VGA work for non-HD goodness, as well), and of course an HDTV.
Once you have those components linked and loaded, you’ll be ready to race at 30 frames per second, using the TV as your cockpit view and the iPad 2 as your dashboard, as in the screenshot above.
I only own an iPad 2 and am missing all of the other components, but if any of you fine couch racers try this out, please share your feedback with us in the comments. This is definitely some very cool stuff.
