More than six weeks after its initial release, the demand for the iPad 2 is still very strong based off the limited inventory available on sites like ipad2tracker.com. Additionally, its well-known that Apple expected to ship almost twice as many iPads as they really did this quarter. Logically, either Apple far overestimated demand for the original iPad or they were presented with significant problems that limited the number of iPad 2s that were released.
