BGR has posted photos of what appears to be a prototype iPhone running on T-Mobile USA’s 3G service.
Here’s an excerpt from the report:

That’s right, you’re looking at photos of an iPhone prototype with T-Mobile USA 3G bands. The actual internal model is N94, and if you remember, the Verizon model is N92 while the standard GSM variant is N90. We have verified that the phone itself is running a test version of Apple’s iOS, much like the one we saw in those videos from Vietnam, and it includes internal Apple test apps like Radar and Apple’s employee directory app.

To be clear, T-Mobile’s GSM network runs on different frequencies than AT&T’s GSM network, and thus requires different radio hardware to operate on their respective networks. These photos show an iPhone running on the US T-Mobile network, which may suggest unique hardware (or the prototype could be one of those “world-mode” universal radio iPhones we’ve been hearing about). But, you also have to remember that the AT&T has purchased T-Mobile, and what that means in regards to network technologies, is anyone’s guess.
