Apple Appears to Be Testing iOS 5.0, First Crash Report Surfaces

FutureTap, an iPhone developer, is reporting that they have received a crash report (image) from an iOS device running iOS the currently unreleased iOS 5.0. This would mean that Apple is now testing the new OS with third-party applications.

They also circle the MKUserLocationBreadCrub API, which ties in with mapping and locations operations. Makes sense considering FutureTap’s flagship app is called “Where to?”, a location based app.

Absolutely nothing shocking is to be found here. But, it does show that Apple is moving forward on iOS, this is the next logical step in testing, before I believe we’ll see it’s introduction at this year’s WWDC, with a release this fall alongside the new iPhone.
