Ryan Cash of Marketcircle fame has pointed out that the newly released white iPhone 4, is actually thicker than it’s black counterpart. He has photos to back up his claim. Tipb later reported that the white iPhone 4 is in fact .2mm thicker. That’s not much, but some tighter fitting cases might now work with your shiny new white iPhone 4. You’ve been warned.

Now, if I had to guess, the design is thicker in an effort to drown out the light bleeding we had heard was causing the device’s delay. That is, the white paint coat allowed light to seep out of the seams and around the bezel, originating from the LCD backlighting.
