I just put both thumbs on it and pull apart. The opposite puts it back together.

It has a dedicated international keyboard button on the keyboard. It also has Home and Spotlight search shortcut keys, which the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard does not. I have been working up a review on the Logitech version this week, and should have it up by tomorrow. If you are looking for a great bluetooth keyboard, you should definitely check this one out.

Thomas, have you used the Smart Cover at all as a stand? I have found that the shallow angle that it folds up to is an ideal for me when typing with the iPad 2 in my lap. It’s just a personal preference thing, but I like having that tilt. Plus, it reduces some of the glare you can pick up from overhead lights. Have you tried this before?

I second your recommendation on portrait mode. An altered keyboard designed for thumb typing while gripping the iPad from the sides would be much more ideal.

Maybe we type differently. I hit “you” with just my index and ring finger and it’s actually pretty fast for all the keyboard practice over the years. My “th” is a bit slower since it uses two different hands.

I find it interesting that “you” is your problematic word. I have a few problematic words and they all include “th”. Apparently I type “th” faster than the ipad can handle and I often end up with both of them missing.

Ditto on those lack of keyboard shortcuts. As for the rest, I am starting to get used to the touch keyboard but would love to see Apple do some rethinking in a future OS update.

still, the keyboard is handy for quick messages, typing in bed, etc. it is certainly impressive. but, i hope it isn’t the shape of things to come!
