Grandview for Mac: Really, Really Focused Writing

I try to keep an open mind when it comes to all of these full-screen writing apps, especially since I’ve ended up having fun with OmmWriter and Byword, but I can’t quite wrap my head around Grandview’s concept of displaying just one word at a time. Granted, there are two other views labelled “sentence” and “full writing”, but the developers at Dark Heartfelt definitely seem to believe in the whole one-word-at-a-time thing, whereas it strikes me as a little goofy, or possibly even satirical.

Ben Brooks of The Brooks Review gave the app a quick look and had a surprisingly good time with it. At $4.99, though, I’ll stick with my current bundle of writing apps and just set the font size to max if I find there are too many words on the page (I jest — although I’m still not buying the app right now).
