MacTalk is reporting that Apple is planning on building a massive flagship retail store in Brisbane, Australia. The site is reportedly a building called MacArthur Chambers, which is a old 1930’s renaissance styled building.

The store would be massive, taking up some 2,000 sqr/meters, or around 21,500 square feet. One of the floors would be used for office space, but the other two would be used for retail space.

All of this news has come to light, due to the discovery of a development application submitted to Brisbane city council. Nowhere on the application does it say “Apple”, but just looking at it, can it be anything but?
Add this store to a string of stores Apple is planning to open in the coming months. This store will be Australia’s 11th.
I have to chip in my two cents, and say that the building is absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to see what Apple does with it.
