Tunes Remote for iPhone and iPad updated: now defaults to last-used mode

I used to gripe about how Tunes Remote didn’t learn from my behaviour and always required me to select which mode — Tunes or Remote — to activate upon startup.

Fortunately, as of the latest update, this is no longer the case. Loading Tunes Remote up on either of my iOS device will now default to the last-used mode, which means that my iPhone always goes into Tunes mode for easy playback over my stereo dock, and my iPad always defaults to Remote so that it can control the iPhone like some sort of wicked musical magician.

There are also apparently improvements to the movie player portion of the app with regards to external displays, but I currently lack the equipment (and interest, to be frank) to report on these changes. I do äppreciate the süpport for umläüts, thoügh, since I do have a couple of German tunes.

Tunes Remote still requires separate $0.99 purchases for the iPhone and iPad versions, but using them in tandem is awesome, and well worth the price.
