First the company will be introducing The New Yorker with in-app subscriptions, then they will introduce another seven of their magazines as time moves forward.
As for pricing, I think they got it right, or at least closer than other content providers have so far. You can subscribe for $5.99 a month, which is down from the previous $4.99 for each magazine, which was built as an individual app. The iPad subscription will cost $59.99 a year, and the print subscription costs $69.99 a year, but also includes the iPad subscription. I do think there should be a greater price differential between the print subscription and the iPad subscription however.
