Silicon Alley Insider has posted an interesting chart showing what customers mainly use their iPads for. The usage data was collected from November 2010, right up to this month. They found that the most still use their iPad for web browsing 36% of the time. The next most popular activity is email and social network at 23%. Both watching video and playing games separately clock in at 14.5% of the time. And 21% of consumers time is spent using other apps.
To be honest, I’m kind of surprised. I would have thought entertainment would have been first and foremost. And by entertainment, I mean vide, and games. Who’s to say the majority isn’t spending most of their time reading Dilbert or something.
