Apple Relocating Washington Apple Store, Stares Down Microsoft Store

ifoAppleStore is reporting what I believe is a first for Apple (and I could easily be wrong), they are relocating their 4600 square foot Bellevue Square, Washington store, from the ground floor of of the mall it’s located in, to a large space (twice the size) on the second floor.

Where this get’s interesting, is that the current location of the Apple store is a few shops down from the Microsoft store. The move will reposition the store across, and above the from the Microsoft store. They’re going for symbolism I guess. Anyway, the move is planned to be completed by this holiday shopping season, to accommodate larger crowds.

So, Apple needs more space, and they get away from Microsoft’s store. Win-win.
