In order to replace the hard drive – you do need a same type of hard drive brand and sensor connector for the hardware test to pass, this will only affect the fan operation WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT, but only for the sake of argument – most market hard drives will work perfectly, except off course, the fan issue.
