I have never used an Omni Group app in my life, but all the geeks around me seem to love the crap out of them for being incredibly robust and powerful.
The latest addition to the OmniLineup is OmniOutliner for iPad, the mobile version of the OmniLiner outlining app, hit the App Store earlier today. At $19.99 the app certainly isn’t cheap, but it looks like a very polished interface for “brainstorming new ideas, drilling out project specifics, and lining up the steps needed to get everything done”. OmniOutliner sounds a lot like a cross between the formatting power of a word processor and the flexibility of a spreadsheet app, and I probably would have loved to try and use it for university, had I an iPad at the time.
If you want to know a bit more about what this $20 app is designed for, do check out the video introduction on Vimeo.
