Shine ($0.99) looks like a really awesome daily forecast weather app that looks perfect for my needs. I don’t need radars, wind speeds, or obvious support for multiple cities — I just want the weather for today and a general idea of whether or not I’ll need an umbrella (and yes, I still use the low tech “look out the window” trick for that).
The only unfortunate thing about Shine is that it seems to be US-only, so Canucks like myself get left out in the cold. I tried to find myself a consolation weather app that was Canada-only and stumbled upon Celsius ($0.99), but it’s not on quite the same level.
