The Notesy 2.0 text editor ($4.99, review) is out and I can now gush about all the changes without spoiling the surprise. Sub-folder support, solarized background and font themes, improved search, and Markdown preview support, oh my! The app also looks a little cleaner, with a few updated icons, and options to hide everything but the filename in list view. What is perhaps most impressive, however, is that the app is still as fast as it was when I tried it late last year. I won’t go into more detail than that because Notesy’s dev, Dave Findlay, has already written an entire post about this 2.0 release.
I have no affiliation with Notesy aside from being a beta tester, but I still think it’s one of the best note taking apps out on iOS: it’s fast, it runs on both the iPhone and iPad, and developer support has been killer. Definitely an app to snap up if you haven’t done so already.
