Mac OS has all sorts of amazing, gorgeous apps, but there is a dearth of good screensavers that don’t feel tacky. Screenstagram, the free Instagram-based screensaver from the barbarian group, helps out a little bit with that.
It’s currently Snow Leopard only and comes with the disclaimer that basically says “don’t blame the barbarian group if your computer asplodes after you use this”, but if you’re willing to give it a shot, Screenstagram can pull all sorts of Instagram photos from your friends’ accounts and display them while your computer is idle. Heck, even if you don’t have your own Instagram account (I don’t), you can just have the app pull down the most popular photos from the image sharing service so that you have something interesting to look at while you stare unceasingly at your LCD screen.
Download screenstagram from the barbarian group website.
