Fruit Ninja HD On Sale For $0.99 This Weekend

I received an e-mail from Halfbrick Studios announcing that Fruit Ninja HD, the blown up, extra juicy version of Fruit Ninja for iPhone ($0.99; review), is on sale this weekend for a dollar. If you think about it, it’s actually a fantastic deal and much cheaper than going out and slicing real fruit (but don’t think about it too hard).

I’ve been, err, testing the app this morning to make sure that it works as smoothly as it does on the iPhone, and have concluded that this is one of those titles that gets way better on the iPad: the extra space is used to make all of the gameplay elements larger, which simply makes the whole game easier and more enjoyable to play.

I’m not terribly sure that the giganto graphics and split-screen multiplayer mode are worth that much more than the iPhone version at regular price, though, so if you’ve been eyeing Fruit Ninja HD, now is the time to buy.
