Good weather, like good weather apps, can be hard to find, so maybe that’s why Aelios Weather ($2.99 at launch) opted for a different approach to the displaying of sunshine, rain (un-shine), and the rest of that weather forecast information. Aelios looks a bit like panning the earth for good weather, since you’ll spend your time spinning and swiping a digital globe and watching the various times and temperature of the cities that you pass by.
Judging by the video on the Aelios website, it probably isn’t the best app for hardcore travellers who need a quick glimpse at the weather in a given city, but it does look like a fun way to tell both the time and general weather conditions in various parts of the globe.
I sometimes wonder why Patrick says some of the things that he does, but then I look at how hot it is in Texas, and I oblige him a quick Nod of Understanding.
