
Apple has updated their “Apple Store” iOS application to now accept build-to-order Mac configurations, and also updates the in-store features, to better integrate with Apple’s recent retail overhaul.
This update is still just for the iPhone and iPod touch- no universal support for iPads. The app is however, now available in several European countries, which is new, considering that the application was U.S. only since it’s original release.
So, it allows users to customize their Mac orders, but more importantly it seems to now echo the same feature set as the new iPad-based kiosks Apple just installed in their stores.
