Sideways Racing For iPad

bjango, probably best known as the developers of the excellent iStat Pro and Menu apps (the latter was reviewed here), have released their first iPad game: the $1.99 Sideways Racing. The trailer I’ve embedded above should answer most of your questions about the game, but it looks to be a top-down racer that’s all about sliding, drifting, and boosting your way to the finish line. In fact, Sideways Racing reminds me a bit of the Fast and Furious movies — if they had been filmed exclusively from helicopters.

I don’t really know bjango as game devs, but I did have a good amount of fun with their last foray into gaming, Kapowie, so I wouldn’t be above giving Sideways Racing a try. I’d just need to clear up my huge games queue first (life is hard).
