iPad 2 Coming to Several New Countries Including Russia May 27th

As is usually the case with Apple, the iPad will have a substantial premium attached to it in these new countries. For example, the 16GB Wi-Fi model, which retails for $499 here in the States, will cost 18990 rubles, or $667 in Russia. The 64GB 3G model will go for a whopping $1088. A similar pricing scheme is in place for are Ukrainian friends as well.

The report also points to some retailers that will be carrying the iPad 2 in these countries. For instance, Russia retailers that will carry the iPad 2 include: MediaMarkt, Beliy Veter Cifrovoi, M.Video, ION, Technosila, Eldorado, z-Store and Re:Store. Ukrainian retailers include: iStore, Moyo, Comfy and Foxtrot. Are Chilean friends will be able to pick one up at Ripley.cl. As for our friends in Brazil, little is known regarding pricing or availability.
