Apple Reportedly Renews Partnership with Google for Map Services

At AllThingsD 9, Eric Schmidt of of Google fame let it slip that they had renewed their partnership agreement with Google, to use their location and map services as they have all along with iOS. This confirms recent rumors that Apple would be sticking with Google for at least iOS 5, instead of going with their own in-house solution.

Twitter to be a System-Level Feature in iOS 5?

TechCrucnh is reporting that Twitter will be integrated into iOS 5, at the system level. Specifically, the report points to Twitter photo sharing. That leads to Twitter, which is reportedly working on their own photo sharing service, losing the need to rely on services such as yfrog for such features.

Apple Now Certifying Parts for Next-Generation iPad

Digitimes is reporting that Apple is currently certifying components for the next-generation iPad due in 2012. The report also claims that the next-gen iPad will not use OLED displays as had been reported, but will stick to the familiar 9.7-inch LCD panels.

Apple has updated GarageBand for iPad, which now offers output via AirPlay, Bluetooth, with and HDMI import from various audio files such as Apple Loops. Also, users can now copy and past audio clips to other applications that can accept the files.
