Foxconn Reopens Polishing Plants After Investigation Into Deadly Explosion Comes to a Close

foxconnLogo.jpgThe Wall Street Journal is reporting that Foxconn, one of Apple’s main manufacturing partners, has now reopened their polishing plants, which had been shut down for investigation after last month’s blast which killed three and injured 15. Foxconn, or as they’re called in this report, Hon Hai Precision Industry, did not reveal their findings from the investigation.

It had been rumored, soon after the blast, that this development would further hinder Apple’s ability to meet demand for the iPad 2, seeing as the Chengdu facility in which the incident occurred, is one of the main iPad producers.
