Inventories of Airport and Time Capsules Reportedly Running Low at Apple Retail Stores

timecap.jpgMacRumors is reporting that they have received word that Apple’s retail stores are running low on AirPort base stations and Time Capsules. This suggests that a refresh could be imminent, even as early as Monday, the first day of Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference.

The report goes on to note that several of their sources are reporting that local Apple Retail stores are sold out of some or all of these devices, and after asking a sales representative, found out that no new shipments are planned.

Granted Apple said there would be no new hardware at this year’s WWDC, but Apple could be planning to roll out new network devices to, say, better integrate with their iCloud service. Just a thought.
