I published a quick review of Pulse News Reader for iPad earlier this month and, although the inability to hide read items still slays me, the introduction of Pulse.me looks to have obliterated my complaint about a lack of saving options within the Pulse ecosystem.
All it takes is a quick sign-up from within the Pulse News Mini or Pulse News Reader iPad app (or the Pulse.me website) and you’ll have yourself a cross-platform Pulse account that lets you save articles to multiple services with just one tap. Pulse.me supports Evernote, Google Reader, Instapaper, Read it Later, Facebook, or Twitter, and one tap on the star icon below an article will send it to any and all of the services you’re logged into.
In other words, Pulse’s new Star button just became the tactical warhead of Share buttons everywhere.
