Pixelmator 2.0 for Mac Announced, Coming Later This Summer

Pixelmator is my current image editor on the Mac and, despite a few hiccups here and there, I rather like it. The next major version, Pixelmator 2.0, was announced yesterday in a sneak peek on the app’s website, and is scheduled to bring features like content-aware fill, better type tools and effects, a new pixel tool, and much more.

Pixelmator will retain its current $29 price point on the Mac App Store until the release of v2.0, at which point the price will double to $59, so buy now if you’re interested in the upgrade – $30 for an image editing tool this powerful is a kickass deal.
