iPhoneCanada is reporting that they believe that Peter Hajas, the developer famous for MobileNotifier, a notification system modification for Jailbroken iPhones. Hajas doesn’t outright admit to being hired by Apple, but, according to a blog post, has abandoned MobileNotifier for the time being while pursuing other opportunities.
Another report found a deleted tweet originating from Hajas, which claimed that he was headed for California to work at a “fruit” company. MacRumors too has confirmed that Hajas is now working for Apple.
There has been a lot of complaints in regards to Apple’s current notification system in iOS. Hell, even in our own iOS 5 wish list, we asked for a new notification system. It worked at first, but iOS has now outgrown that model. Reports from months back claimed that Apple has hired an outside developer to do just that- overhaul the notification system.
We’re bound to hear something tomorrow from WWDC as Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveils iCloud, Mac OS X Lion, and iOS 5. Stay tuned to iSource for coverage.
