No more iSync in Mac OS X Lion?
TAUW reports that after some of their readers have used developer builds of Mac OS X Lion, they have discovered that iSync is no longer included. Add iSync to Rosetta, Java runtime, and Front Row as a growing number of casualties that Lion is killing off.
Hints that Mac OS X Lion Server Edition Will Be an Extra Paid Download
After much speculation, when Apple included Mac OS X Lion server applications with the regular developer seeds, that the Server edition would come with the client version of Mac OS X Lion, yet another new development has arisen. A HardMac Reader discovered, in a help panel, documentation of a download from the Mac App Store, which will convert the client version into a server. That said, I suspect that the server addition will be included with the client version. Apple’s own site even suggests this.
AT&T Working with Apple to Bring New SIM Standard to Market
Last month after Orange CEO Stephane Richard, reported that Apple came to an agreement to ditch, at least for the time being, their embedded-SIM standard in favor of a smaller SIM format. This would allow Apple to make smaller devices. Anyway, AT&T CEO Ralph de la Vega hinted that they are working with Apple to bring the new SIM standard to market.
J.P. Morgan Claims iPad Competitors are Failing
A report from J.P. Morgan Chase claims that consumers are overwhelmingly choosing an iPad over the competition. So much so, in fact that they competitors are having to scale back production by 10% as Apple is still trying to keep up with demand. J.P. Morgan also expects that “tablet bubble” to burst later this year. I do not, this is the future of computing.
