MobileMe Renewals Being Refunded Ahead of iCloud Announcement

mobileme.jpgTAUW has issued a brief note ahead of today’s WWDC keynote wherein it has been announced that Apple will be introducing iOS 5, Mac OS X Lion, and iCloud. The note mentions that one of their readers, who was signed up for MobileMe service on a recurring basis, has had his money automatically refunded.

That is, he’s checking account was automatically deducted, then automatically refunded immediately. So, by extrapolation, it’s safe to assume that MobileMe is coming to an end, and Apple will be migrating to iCloud as time moves forward- at least in terms of pricing scheme.
