It has been discovered in Apple’s documentation that iCloud will not work with users running Windows XP. Both iTunes 10.3 and MobileMe will work fine with Windows XP, but the new iCloud won’t. It sounds like an artificial limitation to me.
The thing of it is, Windows XP, ten years after it’s release, is still the world’s most ubiquitous Operating System. For the Mac users iCloud support only goes back to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
So, Apple is cutting loose a 10 year old operating system, which honestly sounds reasonable, and just sounds like Apple- drop the old, bring in the new. They make no exceptions with their own technology, let alone a competitors.
