As the dust is settling from the announcements Apple made on Monday, we’re discovering more and more of the minor details. The iCloud transition has spurred most of these questions. Specifically, some customers who recently renewed their MobileMe accounts, were wondering if they could get a refund. The answer is yes, but the amount depends on how long ago you renewed.
On the flip side, if you want to keep your MobileMe account until iCloud is launched, you can do that, and take a smaller refund depending on when you renewed. Apple will give a full refund of the $99 if you renewed your subscriptions within the last 45 days. Past that, Apple will give you a pro-rated refund according to when you file for it.
Just as we reported before, Apple is taking no new MobleMe subscriptions, and users who currently have an account have had their service extended until June 30, 2012, for free.
