The screencap above shows the list of what iCloud backs up, straight from Apple’s page detailing iCloud features. It’s a good list – just in case you can’t see the screenie, the list consists of Purchased music, apps, and books; Photos and videos from the Camera Roll; Device settings; App data, Text and SMS messages; and ringtones.
That’s good stuff, especially the app data and device settings. But here’s the one that makes me happiest:
Home screen and app organization
Halle-bloody-lujah. Man that’s good to see. That should take away the horrible pain of re-doing all your home screens and app organizing after a restore, which has always been one of the worst and least user-friendly experiences when using an iOS device, regardless of whether you attempted it on the device itself or via iTunes.
That may be my early favorite iCloud feature if it works well.
