Tight Supplies Suggest Mac Pro and Mac Mini Server Editions to See Refresh Soon

enviro_hero_20100727.png9to5Mac is reporting that one of their sources claims that supplies of the server configurations of the Mac Pro and Mac Mini product lines are running thin. This, as always, is usually a pretty good indicator of a product refresh.

Both the Mac Mini and the Mac Pro server models, are the only remaining server hardware offerings from Apple, since the company discontinued their Xserve line earlier this year, due to comparatively poor sales. Also worth noting is that there have been rumors that Apple is set to introduce a new case style for the Mac Pro, which is rumored to be narrower, and rack-mountable.

Also, and this is purely speculation on my part, if Apple’s going to refresh the server part of the line, they’ll likely refresh the whole line.
