Apple Fires Back Against Samsung’s Motion to See Next-Gen Hardware, Calls it an “Attempt to Harass”

Samsung-Logo.jpgApple first filed suit Against Samsung for copying the company’s “look and feel”. Later, Apple’s lawyers were granted 30 days access to as-of-yet unreleased Samsung hardware. In a retaliatory move, Samsung filed a motion to see Apple’s unreleased hardware. Today, FOSS Patents reports that Apple has filed a response to Samsung’s request, calling it an “attempt to harass”. Apple claims that Samsung has no business seeing their hardware, as it has no legal baring on Apple’s claims against Samsung.

This Friday is the deadline for Samsung to show Apple the hardware. After that Apple can decide as to whether they want to request a preliminary injunction which would prevent Samsung from selling their new products. This move would give Apple extra leverage. Additionally, Friday will be the day a decision is made as to whether Samsung will be granted access to Apple’s hardware.

I’m guessing Apple’s hardware will remain with Apple.
