The Wall Street Journal is reporting that three individuals have been sentenced to prison in China, who are reportedly in connection with information leaks regarding the iPad 2.
These individuals were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 12 to 18 months and face fines from $4500 to $23,000
This whole thing is linked to iPad 2 case design being leaked ahead of the launch. Soon after three were arrested, and charged in connection to the leak. The employees were Foxconn workers, who could have had access to parts ahead of time. It’s presumed these are the same workers being sentenced.
