
Apple, with little fanfare, has updated their Time Capsule WiFi hotspot/backup appliance from the previous 1TB and 2TB storage capacities, to new 2TB and 3TB capacities at the same $299 and $399 price points respectively.
The Airport Extreme also saw an update, but, as with the Time Capsule, it’s not entirely clear what has been changed (other than the Time Capsule’s capacities, of course). The new Airport Extreme is priced at the same $179.
I have a feeling, if rumors are true, these device will tie into iOS 5, especially Time Capsule caching backups for other devices, and Apple will only tell us about it after the launch.
