Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP Micro is on sale for just a buck today on the App Store, and you can find its universal sibling, S&S EP for iPhone and iPad, for $1.99. I wrote a quick review of the app last month and thought it was a wonderful, thoughtful, and occasionally frustrating gaming experience that shouldn’t be missed.
A big part of that warm, ponderous feeling the game left me with was due to the incredible soundtrack from Jim Guthrie, which is also currently on sale for a “pay what you want” price. As a reference, the 27-track, one-hour long album usually costs $7, so this is a way to get a great deal for even less.
The sale is only for today, June 21st (the summer soltice), which is quite fitting, considering Sword & Sworcery’s focus on the solar cycle.
